Ever heard of recycled art? Recycled art involves upcycling "junk" to make one-of-a-kind art. It is awesome to see- and it is environmentally friendly! Santa Fe is home to the largest and oldest recycled art festival in the country. If you're looking for something unique to do in New Mexico, then you should check out this unusual festival!

The 22nd annual Recycle Santa Fe Art Festival is dedicated to showcasing art made from discarded materials. It will feature a wide variety of creative displays by professional artists and students. More than 100 artists from around the country will have their art on display, drawing thousands of art lovers to the event.

All of the art at the festival consists of a minimum of 75% recycled materials. Vintage tin cans are turned into fun earrings and scrap metal is turned into awe-inspiring sculptures. You never know what you'll see!

There will be a fantastic art market, juried art exhibits, and make & take art activities. If you're interested in conservation and environmentalism, then you should catch their special screening of Albuquerque filmmaker, Greg Polk's documentary "New Mexicans Taking Action on Plastic Waste." You can shop recycled art, learn about the plastic waste crisis, and grab dinner from the food vendors!
