New Mexico has a rich farming history that dates back to 4000 years ago. If you're visiting and you're going to be near Las Cruces, then you shouldn't miss the New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum

The New Mexico Farm & Ranch Heritage Museum is a testament to everyone who has worked farming the land. It features exhibits, galleries, and hands-on experiences. You'll be able to see livestock that includes beef cattle, horses, sheep, and a donkey. You can also see barns, a greenhouse, and demonstrations. Save time to check out the fantastic gift shop and grab a bite at the snack bar!

There are lots of unique, informative exhibits that you can browse at the museum. There are exhibits on women in agriculture, ranches and rockets, historical farm homes, the art of saddle making, and more. A calendar of events is available online for those interested in the museum's other offerings. One thing is for sure- there are tons of things to see and do at this museum!

I recommend taking a guided tour while you're there. The tour guides can tell you all about New Mexico’s history of farming, ranching and rural life and will be able to answer any questions you have! Tour options are listed on the museum's official website.

Immerse yourself in New Mexico's history at this amazing museum! Plan your visit today!
