Do you love craft beer? If you're a big fan and you're planning a trip to southwest New Mexico, then you're in luck: Yelp just named a local brewery as the best brewery in New Mexico!

At the beginning of May, Yelp compiled a list of the top brewery in every state. Their selections are based on reviews from users, so earning the title of "best in state" is a huge honor.

If you think that small town breweries don't have much to offer, then allow me (with the assistance of Yelp) to change your mind. [Truth or Consequences Brewing](https://www.facebook.com/torcbrewingco/) in Truth or Consequences, NM was named the top brewery in New Mexico. This creative brewery specializes in delicious ales and lagers, but they also make incredible stouts and sours. We recommend grabbing a couple of beers to sip on their patio. It's the perfect way to end a day of exploring town!

Not only does Truth or Consequences Brewing have awesome beer- they also have great events! They present free live music most weekends, but also host community events. They have weekly trivia and open mic events that are always excellent. Keep an eye on their [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/torcbrewingco/) and/or [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/torcbrewingco/?hl=en) pages to see what other events they have coming up.

Craft Beer Week is right around the corner! Come sip some scrumptious brews in the sweet New Mexico sunshine!
